It’s my honor to serve as Professional Development Committee Chair for Chapter 1. I have been fortunate to be a part of some great teams that have contributed to major projects around the State and develop with support from former associates, managers and mentors – that is my hope for our members.

As PDC Chair my role is to help you reach your professional development goals. Starting out can be a little daunting so I can assist you in navigating the IRWA’s website and the Education/Credentialing sections according to your specific areas of interest, industry paths and levels of specialization.

I also conduct initial reviews of certification applications to ensure all requirements are met for expedited certification. Whether you’re pursuing your first certification, second or third one, it’s great expanding to other areas of interest and networking with members that have such diverse backgrounds.

I’m excited that a host of instructor-led virtual classes were recently released on IRWA’s website. In the past, while online classes saved time and travel costs it meant no classroom involvement – but that is not the case anymore.

While a lot of education support programs have been hit hard by recent events, I can tell you from personal experience, every investment of time and money in self-development pays off tenfold. Let’s use this time to advance our professions and industry, let me be your resource.
